Adobe’s free mobile editing app was called Rush. It was good, but it was light on features. In our brave new social-savvy world, it was losing out big to competitors.
Other apps were much more robust, but they were only sort of free — hiding the good stuff behind obnoxious paywalls. And they felt clunky, cluttered, and unsophisticated.
Enter Premiere on iPhone. Inspired by the desktop app, but built with on-the-move making in mind — Premiere is the only seriously easy, seriously serious editing app that is free. (You only pay for additional generative AI credits and storage.)
The initial launch was anchored to core differentiators and geared towards younger content creators. I worked with product and legal partners to draft early copy and supported performance media writing.
