FAQs and YBQs (Your Burning Questions)
Why a clown?
I love funny. But not every moment warrants funny.
I also love sweet and cute. But moments can quickly turn twee.
I love high-stepping energy and high-octane verbs, but maybe the moment is bucolic and organic.
I love flowery. I love deep feels. I love soulful poetry. But what if the moment is tax season? Sometimes the moment simply requires making something very technical, very simple.
Tactics aside, every moment has an underpinning emotional truth. The role of the jester, the comedian, or the copy clown is to explore and invent ways to call attention to, contextualize, even re-contextualize those emotional truths and maximize the impact of any moment.
How will you meet the moment?

Where do you work? Do you a freelance?
I’ve been a full-timer at Adobe since 2022.
I’m always looking out for fun and interesting jobs, gigs, freelance projects, and consulting work.
Reach out.
Do you only do copy?
I am a copywriter first — ad copy, messaging and brand development, the list goes on.
However, I take a wholistic approach to advertising and communication. I have a strong eye and mind for composition and style, I obsess over the user journey — and I love working with teams to imagine and build campaigns from the ground up.
Have you written for [insert industry here]?
I’ve worked across a lot of different industries, with ExxonMobil, Procter & Gamble, Red Bull, One&Only Resorts, See’s Candies, Adobe, The City of Austin, and more.
I’ve delivered on a lot of disparate briefs — comms and change management, branding, digital and print advertising, and bureaucratic process documentation. I’ve even ghostwritten thought-leadership content, yuck.
Whether you’re in pharma, auto, or getting your line of savory yogurt off the ground, every industry, every audience, every moment has an underpinning emotional truth. Tapping into that is my raison d’être.
Savory yogurt shouldn’t exist. But if you’re serious, I’m serious.
